Ethically conscious consumers are a large and growing portion of the population, spending an estimated $456B+ annually on sustainable/ethical products. They are actively seeking products and services that reflect their values and their identity, and 35% are willing to pay a premium for them.
Those who believe they can create change want ideas and inspiration, and are frustrated with the lack of trustworthy (and actionable) information available. deliberateLIFE meets them where they are (on their mobile devices) with relevant information that helps them make better purchases directly from their tablet or phone.
In 2015, after the events following Ferguson we launched a dinner series called Deliberate Discourse, a series of discussions about things that matter. We believe that face-to-face dialog is a simple and powerful way to increase understanding, grow in empathy, and discover new possibilities. We have hosted 11 dinners across 7 cities in the United States – You can read about it in Fast Company or on our website.
As the deliberateLIFE Manifesto indicates, we believe that choices matter – and we seek to make it easier for people to live well and do good.
To this end, my team and I are continuing to research and develop tools to help make conscious lifestyles the norm.
