Participate in World AIDS DAY 2005. With events occurring around the world, show your support for those living with and fighting this disease.
World AIDS Day is December 1, and the Vigil at Wesley begins at 7:00.
If you are in the Washington/Metro Area, please consider attending a very special event at
Wesley Church. This interfaith candlelight vigil designed to remember our friends and family members who have died with AIDS – as well as the millions of people who have
died that we do not know. It is also a time to honor those who are living with this dreadful disease today. As part of the Vigil we are inviting people to bring photographs and memorabilia to be shared in a display for the evening.
The AIDS Memorial Quilt will also be on display. If you have seen the Quilt you know how special and awesome it is to stand
before such a living and dynamic memorial. We are also opening the doors of
Wesley to groups and schools to come and view the Quilt all day on Friday,
December 2. If you know of a group you would like to invite, please have
them contact Pan by telephone at 202-364-9481 to schedule a time for viewing.
