Invisible Children on Oprah

Learn more about what is happening in Northern Uganda, and support the work of Invisible Children.

Oprah will be meeting with the filmmakers to hear about their journey and what we can do as a country to assist in the process. The documentary is about the child night commuters in Northern Uganda that commute by foot into town centers every night from their homes in the villages to escape abduction of the rebel Lord’s Resistance Army who have been fighting a war in Uganda for 20 years. The documentary was made by a couple of college kids from Southern California and has since started a movement of awareness and activism across the country. They have now begun a program in Northern Uganda to help put these “night commuters” in school with the resources and support they need. This Saturday InvisibleChildren is sponsoring a Global Night Commute in honor of these children in Uganda to show support and raise awareness about this war and its victims.
