Join the DAC for an examination of the relationship between genocide
and the media, using the current crisis in Darfur as a case study.
Panelists include:
Brian Steidle: a former US Marine and African Union Observer. In late
2004, he witnessed and photographed the systematic destruction of
villages in south Darfur.
Ken Silverstein: an LA Times investigative journalist, who recently
wrote a front page expose on the situation in Sudan.
Darren Kemp: a BBC documentary filmmaker of Peabody Award winning “The
New Killing Fields.”
Mohamed Yahya: a Darfurian exile and the Executive Director of
Damanga, a coalition that advocates for the human rights of the people
of Darfur.
